The Vase: This piece was created for simplicity. I had been working on a lot of larger, more involved vases and I wanted to make something cute, quick, and earthy. It is buff ochre with no exterior glaze.
The Name: Lucy is a good girl. She is Hank’s sister and belongs to my husband’s parents. She is gentle, precious, empathetic, and has the sweetest eyes. She is a great reminder of what “good dog” really means. She can track a deer better than any technology, and will swim and fetch until someone makes her stop.
